Jeremy McIntire Seeks Republican Nomination At The March 19th Primary Election
Stow Councilman At-large and Purple Heart Recipient Jeremy McIntire announces candidacy for Summit County Council District 3.
Stow, Ohio – Wednesday January 17, 2024 – Jeremy McIntire, Stow City Councilman, Iraq War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, announces he is seeking to be the Republican nominee for Summit County Council District 3 in the March 19, 2024, primary election. Summit County Council District 3 serves the residents of the: Village of Boston Heights, City Of Hudson, City of Munroe Falls, Village of Silver Lake, and the City of Stow.
“I am excited to announce my candidacy for County Council District 3 in the upcoming March 19, 2024, Republican primary election,” said Councilman McIntire. “As vocal advocate for transparent and accountable government, I believe public service should be selfless and elected office is an honor in our constitutional republic.”
Jeremy is a retired Iraq War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient; from 2007 to 2008 he served a 15-month deployment as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom as an infantryman. McIntire’s military service saw him rise to the rank of Sergeant in just under 3 years, and after being honorably discharged from active duty in the U.S. Army, he continued his service in the Ohio Army National Guard until he retired in 2014.
Jeremy served his country honorably and as a Veteran, his dedication to public service continued when he was elected to public office. McIntire was first elected to Stow City Council At-large in 2019 and has served the last 4-years as the only city-wide elected Republican on council. In his first four years, he has served twice as president and twice as vice-president of council.
“Since being elected, I have been fighting for first responders, fiscal accountability, transparency, and defending term-limits, “ said McIntire. “As your next County Councilman, I will fight to reduce taxes, bring much needed capital improvements to the district, and hold government accountable. I will work to accomplish all these things through selfless service, providing proven leadership, and representing you with integrity.”
